Zooey is a Groupie

Zooey has a new project coming up in which she will be playing the main character as well as serve as the executive producer on a new HBO dramedy!

Zooey Deschanel has just committed to star in an HBO half-hour pilot that will be based on I’m With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie, the Pamela Des Barres’ memoir of bed-hopping with musicians and movie stars in the late 1960s. Deschanel will be executive producer with her longtime manager Sarah Jackson of Seven Summits, and Tim Gibbons, an executive producer of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

She & Him’s official website has been updated with some news on the new record, Volume Two as well as concert details.
All She & Him concerts from March 15th to April 15th have been sold out! Although tickets for the Coachella Music Festival are still available, so get in quick! They will be playing in Denmark and Switzerland along with other countries. You check out the dates and buy tickets here.

You can also pre-order Volume Two here which will be released March 23rd, 2010 in the US and April 5th, 2010 in the UK.

You can preview to the first single off the record, In The Sun, which features vocals by Tilly and the Wall & pre-order the 7″ vinyl here.
